We have to admit it: when we were first invited to experience a safari by motorhome, our initial reaction was probably the same as yours when reading the title of this article. They live without electricity, running water or modern means of transport. Their language is characterised by distinctive click sounds that seem to come from another era, and their way of life tells a story completely removed from our own—without any need for theatrical presentations or staged performances. They are extraordinarily skilled archers, something they demonstrated during a hunting expedition to which we were invited as observers.
