Previews and New Models 2027: Morelo

The new generation of the Palace range arrives: modern design, cutting-edge technology and comfort at the highest levels

The new generation of the Palace range by Morelo is ready to usher in a new era for one of the benchmark motorhomes in the premium segment. For the 2027 season, the prestigious German manufacturer has in fact chosen to thoroughly renew one of its flagship ranges, focusing on an evolution that primarily affects the interiors and on-board technology, without, however, distorting the identity that has always distinguished it. Little has changed on the outside; the new Palace retains its well-known elegant and imposing lines, and the storage compartment doors are noticeably free of visible handles and buttons, replaced by practical touch controls that help make the design cleaner and more modern.

The real revolution, however, is discovered once you step on board. Morelo has, first and foremost, completely redesigned the driving cab, drawing inspiration from the nautical world and creating an even more refined, ergonomic and driver-oriented environment. Front visibility is improved and a technologically advanced dashboard makes its debut, characterised by the presence of three displays: the original Iveco instrument panel, the multimedia system and a large central screen that can be rotated and tilted, dedicated both to the 360-degree camera system and to complete vehicle management through the modern Morelo Connect system, which can also be operated via voice commands. Completing the picture are the digital rear-view mirrors with external cameras and monitors integrated into the cab.

The interiors follow the German company's new stylistic direction. Colours, shapes and style change, now adopting a more contemporary language while maintaining the high build quality typical of the brand. The overhead lockers are free of visible handles, while the colour combinations blend wood finishes, shades of grey and white elements, giving rise to an elegant, bright and decidedly modern environment. The first model of the new generation to be unveiled is the Palace 88 LB, a motorhome almost nine metres long, once again built on the sturdy mechanical base of the Iveco Daily, offering an internal layout geared towards maximum comfort. The living area adopts the bar-style lounge, with a third forward-facing rear automotive seat, a large "L"-shaped sofa and a peninsula table with a pull-out extension. Here, too, we find the traditional retractable television integrated into the overhead locker.

The kitchen confirms the layout and domestic dimensions that today characterise Morelo productions, but it comes with a completely renewed design. The white mineral-material worktop contrasts with the backlit dark grey fronts of the large lower drawers, which are also free of handles. Opposite, there is a fitted wall unit that integrates the retractable compressor fridge and a wardrobe, creating a pleasant effect of stylistic continuity that draws the eye all the way to the sleeping area.

The bathroom retains the design layout already adopted on this model, but it too comes with a completely renewed look, in line with the brand's new direction. The configuration with a large bathroom remains, which can be separated with sliding doors if needed to ensure the necessary privacy, featuring a large washbasin unit with a mirror and storage compartments on one side, and a nautical toilet with a ceramic bowl and a generous shower cubicle on the other.

At the rear is the master bedroom with the characteristic Morelo twin beds, already joined for a good part of their length. Here, too, the restyling is evident: the overhead lockers are now placed only at the sides, while the end wall is enhanced by a new padded headboard with elements that can also be transformed into comfortable backrests for reading, and by an elegant soft-touch covering that blends harmoniously with the ceiling.

The new Morelo Palace generation therefore represents an important evolution of the concept of luxury on wheels, with a perfect balance between design, technological innovation, living comfort and build quality. The countdown has therefore begun: the new generation of the Palace will make its absolute market premiere in Italy at the Salone del Camper to be held in Parma from 12 to 20 September.
