Laika Summer Event

Ten years in San Casciano, in the spirit of Made in Italy

Published on 01/08/2026

Ten years since the move to the San Casciano in Val di Pesa production site, celebrated together at the company party that closes the commercial season. Present were the President of the Tuscany Region and the Mayors of the local municipalities. A milestone that celebrates industrial development, employment and the promotion of Made in Italy. San Casciano in Val di Pesa, ten years on. One plant, one vision, one passion that continues to drive our growth.

Yesterday we celebrated the Laika Summer Event 2026, an occasion that brought us together for a double milestone: the company party that closes the 25/26 commercial season and the tenth anniversary of the move to the San Casciano in Val di Pesa production site. For the occasion, we had the pleasure of having with us Eugenio Giani, President of the Tuscany Region, Roberto Ciappi, Mayor of San Casciano in Val di Pesa, and David Baroncelli, Mayor of Barberino Tavarnelle, warmly welcomed by our Managing Directors, Ute Hofmann, Domenico Sofrá and Luca Contu. A growth that stems from people and develops with the local area. Ten years ago we chose to invest in this plant with an eye to the future. A journey made possible by the commitment, professionalism and passion of those who work alongside us every day, helping to create vehicles recognised internationally for quality, design and innovation, but also by the constant collaboration with the internal RSU and the external trade unions.

The presence of the regional and municipal institutions represented for us a concrete testimony of the bond that unites us with the local community, on a path of development shared with the local area that has driven our choices for over sixty years. "We are honoured to have shared this moment with the President of the Tuscany Region and with the Mayors of the local municipalities, a testimony to the strong bond that unites Laika with the local community", declared our Managing Directors. "We are not only celebrating an anniversary, but a story of industrial development, employment and the promotion of Made in Italy, which continues to grow thanks to those who are its protagonists every day." With the Laika Summer Event 2026, we did not merely celebrate a milestone: we renewed our commitment to the local area, to our people and to an industrial vision that looks to the future.
