Pilote at CMT Stuttgart: low-profile motorhomes, A-class motorhomes and an all-new van

Once again Pilote is winning over the public with a special series offering an interesting price-to-specification ratio: at CMT Stuttgart (17-25 January 2026) the French manufacturer presented the Selection 2026 Spring Edition range. At the Stuttgart show we saw three Selection 2026 vehicles, representative of a small series comprising five models, namely two low-profile motorhomes, two A-class motorhomes and one van.

 

Included in the special Selection series is the V 630 B, an all-new camper van model. At CMT Stuttgart we saw the V 630 B Selection with the optional pop-up bellows roof, a solution that allows two extra berths to be added to the standard two-berth configuration.

 

With the V 630 B Selection, the French manufacturer offers a fairly generously sized, comfortable van, featuring a completely reimagined new layout in the bedroom area. It comes with a low, longitudinal rear double bed that is very spacious and easy to access.

 

It also offers generous storage space in the living area, with a considerable amount of room thanks to the well-developed overhead lockers, which are very tall and feature open shelving underneath.

 

The interior style is pleasantly contemporary, clean and linear, but also particularly bright and with excellent colour combinations. The V 630 B Selection is built on a 636 cm Fiat Ducato and comes as standard with the 2200 engine producing 140 bhp, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Just by looking at the mechanical specification, it’s clear this vehicle is genuinely well equipped: metallic grey paintwork, alloy wheels, fog lights, a Pioneer radio and a reversing camera.

 

The standard specification includes an awning, as well as a 200 Ah lithium battery, two solar panels and a booster. The kitchen features a compressor fridge, while the 4000 W Truma Combi heating system runs on diesel.
The two low-profile motorhomes are the P 720 FC Selection and the P 720 FGJ Selection: very similar to one another, they differ in the rear sleeping area. The P 720 FC Selection offers a central double bed, while the P 720 FGJ Selection provides two single beds. Both vehicles, built on a Fiat Ducato base, measure 720 cm in length and are homologated for 4 travelling occupants. They also offer 4 berths: in addition to the rear sleeping area, they feature a front drop-down double bed. At CMT Stuttgart we saw the P 720 FC Selection, which stands out externally thanks to its white finish set off by numerous dark details. A black cab is available as an optional extra at additional cost.

 

The specification is generous: first of all, the 140 bhp engine is paired with an automatic transmission, then there are alloy wheels and the Media Pack with radio (speakers also in the living area), a reversing camera and an Apple CarPlay / Android Auto navigation system linked to the smartphone, as well as a retractable awning and a solar panel fitted on the roof. In addition to the rear garage, a drawer-style storage compartment beneath the chassis in the side skirt is offered as standard.

 

Inside, this motorhome presents an elegant atmosphere that is both warm and bright, with well-judged colour combinations. The P 720 FC Selection is characterised by its bedroom featuring a central island double bed, with the headboard incorporated into an attractive system of wardrobes and overhead lockers. The living area adopts a face-to-face dinette layout, with a sofa and an armchair facing one another.

 

The kitchen is compact but particularly deep, and the bathroom impresses with its separate shower. Heating is provided by the powerful 6000 W version of the Truma Combi, which runs on gas.
The two A-class motorhomes, the G 720 FC Selection and the G 720 FGJ Selection, echo the floor plans of the low-profile models, but naturally feature a more spacious front area thanks to the integrated cab typical of A-class motorhomes. Here too, the two models differ substantially in the rear sleeping area: twin beds for the G 720 FGJ Selection and an island bed for the G 720 FC Selection.

 

The mechanical base is the Fiat Ducato and the length is 725 cm. Both models guarantee 4 berths and 4 seats homologated for travel. At the Stuttgart show we were able to examine the G 720 FGJ Selection, which offers excellent value for money in its category. The standard specification of the Selection motorhomes is even more generous than that of the low-profile models: a 180 bhp engine with automatic transmission, alloy wheels, automatic cab climate control, a digital dashboard and a Media Pack with a 10” screen, but above all, top-notch technical systems. Notable features include: a 300 Ah lithium battery, two solar panels and a 2000 W inverter, in addition to the Truma Combi D6E heating unit at 6000 W (diesel and electric) and an external gas point.

 

The G 720 FGJ Selection motorhome offers an airy, convivial living area, with the face-to-face dinette integrated with the cab seats. This area also houses the drop-down double bed. The main sleeping area, however, is at the rear, paired with a bathroom featuring a separate shower: here we find two single beds with a striking and practical ring of overhead lockers above.
