Lippert Components, Inc. (Lippert™), has received the prestigious European Innovation Award 2025 in the Innovative Vehicle Related Equipment category. This accolade, created by the German publishing house DoldeMedien Verlag GmbH, was awarded at an annual ceremony at CMT 2025 in Stuttgart, and honours excellence in the caravanning industry. Winners are voted for by a jury composed of journalists from 17 specialist magazines across 15 European countries. The award was presented with the following rationale: “Level9 has completely reimagined the traditional levelling method using chocks and, for the first time, offers the ability to transfer precise measurements to an adjustable chock with ease. The intuitive app measures the camper’s inclination and guides the user through the entire levelling process. The adjustable step allows the chock to be precisely adapted to any situation.

Thanks to this feature, Level9 is significantly more accurate and easier to use than traditional stepped chocks of the same height.” Level9 is the result of a technical partnership between Lippert, one of the leading global suppliers of recreational vehicle accessories, and German company Kyle Camping. Its operation is divided into three simple main steps. The first phase is measurement: a smartphone is placed on a flat surface inside the vehicle and the app uses the phone’s internal sensors, similar to a digital level, to measure the vehicle’s exact inclination. The second phase is adjustment: two orange steps are positioned on the chocks based on the initial measurement, and the app provides step-by-step instructions to precisely adjust these movable steps according to the specific situation.

The third phase involves driving onto the chocks: once the vehicle is reversed to position and reaches the indicated step, the vehicle is levelled with a final check on the smartphone. The Level9 chocks are made of sturdy polypropylene and are notable for their compact design – with a length of only 55 centimetres, they can compensate for a height difference of up to 18 centimetres. "We are proud to have received this prestigious recognition," said Francesca Tompetrini, Marketing Manager Caravanning and Rail EMEA at Lippert. "At all the industry trade shows we have attended, Level9 has generated significant interest from the public and received numerous accolades from the specialised press."
