Yellow Flag A.C.T. Italia Award

Motorhome service area in Lugagnano Val d’Arda

Published on 01/12/2025

In September - during the Salone del Camper 2025, the exhibition dedicated to the world of recreational vehicles and itinerant tourism - the municipality of Lugagnano Val d’Arda (PC), represented by Ivan Leppini, Councillor for Tourism, was awarded the Bandiera Gialla A.C.T.Italia plaque, a prestigious recognition given to municipalities that invest in hospitality and services to promote motorhome mobility.

The purpose of A.C.T.Italia is twofold: to support the economic development of small municipalities by helping them create motorhome service areas in order to promote and showcase the beauty of the local area, while also providing motorhome travellers with a safe stopover offering suitable facilities.

The motorhome service area of the municipality of Lugagnano Val d’Arda, capable of accommodating more than 40 vehicles, is currently equipped with lighting, an electrical hook-up, a drinking water supply point and a wastewater disposal station.

For 2026, in order to make the stay ever more comfortable and up to date, the municipality will be launching a modernisation project involving a series of improvements, such as an automated barrier for access control, digitalisation with free Wi-Fi, interactive kiosks for remote bookings and accessibility for people with disabilities.  The area will therefore remain closed while the works are carried out.
