Truma Group fully acquires Leisure-Tec Group and strengthens its APAC strategy

Published on 13/05/2026

As of 30 April 2026, Truma Group has acquired the remaining shares of Leisure-Tec Group (LT Group). LT Group is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Truma Group, confirming the growing strategic importance of the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region and further strengthening the Group’s global positioning.

Since its establishment as a joint venture in 2018, LT Group has grown into a market-oriented organisation with a strong regional presence, particularly in Australia and China. The group brings extensive expertise in the camping, 4WD/overlanding and outdoor markets, together with a strong customer focus and solid technical product knowledge. Building on this foundation, the newly and clearly defined ownership structure now enables streamlined governance and decision-making processes, providing an optimal basis for collaboration within Truma Group.

The aim is to consistently develop LT Group further as a growth engine for APAC within Truma Group, and to sustainably strengthen the Group’s presence in key markets such as Australia, China and the wider Asia-Pacific region. This also includes close collaboration between LT Group and Truma China.
In this context, Marcel Janssen will take on the additional role of APAC President, alongside his position as Co-CEO of Truma Group. The two roles are designed to be complementary: while the Co-CEO role focuses on stability and governance at Group level, the APAC President role focuses on strategic leadership and the long-term development of the region. Operational responsibility in APAC remains with an established regional management team.
Marcel Janssen, Co-CEO of Truma Group and APAC President, commented: “The full integration of Leisure-Tec Group represents a logical step in the ongoing development of our APAC strategy. Together, LT Group and Truma China form a solid platform for sustainably unlocking the region’s market and growth potential.”

Paul Widdis will continue to lead LT Group as CEO of Leisure-Tec Australia and Executive Vice President Sales APAC, thereby ensuring continuity and stability in the organisation’s future development together with the entire management team. Simon Liu will continue to be responsible for Truma China as General Manager.
Truma Group would like to expressly thank the former joint venture partners Andreas Bischof, Nigel Milbank, Tat Li and Theo Wähning for their entrepreneurial commitment and for the decisive role they played in building up LT Group.
