The original Polish brand Freedo arrives in Italy

The Freedo brand officially lands on the Italian market, the young marque that Swedish-Polish manufacturer Affinity has recently introduced into the varied world of camper vans.
However, this is not a collection of traditional-style vans, quite the opposite. The essence of Freedo-branded creations draws its main inspiration from the lifestyle embraced nowadays by people who wish to spend much of their time travelling, perhaps even working on the road: we're talking about the famous vanlifers. Their interiors are characterised by vibrant colours and modern materials, together with well thought-out storage solutions and multifunctional furnishing elements that ensure optimal use of space.
There are currently eight models making up its range, all distinguished by original, innovative, practical and functional design solutions. And what better occasion, if not the unmissable appointment with the Motorhome Show, to be held at the Parma exhibition centre from 13th to 21st September, to present two particular Freedo models to the Italian public for the first time.

 
The first is a representative of the more compact vans in the collection, built on a Fiat Ducato base with a length of 541 cm.
This is a clear example of how it is possible to rewrite the classic guidelines of this category through careful use of space aboard a small van, along with a touch of creativity.
Let's start with the layout of the rear area of their living space, the common element shared by both models offered in this size.

 

During the day we find a generously sized single bed, beneath which a spacious storage compartment has been created, capable of holding even two bicycles positioned crosswise. The bed is preceded by a face-to-face lounge, with longitudinal sofas facing one another, served by a fold-away table. If the crew consists of two people, it is possible to pull out a section of the bed base which, partially extending over the lounge, allows a genuine double bed to be created.
At the front, meanwhile, the 541 LT model features a classic kitchen block positioned overhanging the side entrance door and offers a direct connection with the driving cab, which is separated from the living area by a dividing panel, via a sliding door.

Its sibling, the 541 HT model, which will be on display at the Motorhome Show, has no passage between the living area and the driving cab, instead repositioning a larger kitchen block right up against the cab itself. The bathroom is the same on both, fitted with a toilet with a fixed bowl and a fold-down washbasin.

 
Alongside it, also on display at the show will be one of the two models built on a MAN TGE base, namely the Freedo M 599.

At just under six metres in length, this van offers a spacious layout with a large, comfortable horseshoe-shaped lounge at the rear. At night, this living area can in turn be transformed into two single twin beds, or into one large double bed.
At the front, we find the kitchen on one side and, on the other, the wardrobe and the bathroom. It should also be noted that this model has no dividing wall with the driving cab, which here becomes an integral part of the living space.
