Rapido unveils the new C66 Optimum Line compact low-profile motorhome

A brand-new model featuring twin beds, face-to-face living area and bathroom with separate shower

The compact low-profile segment continues to evolve and, ahead of spring, Rapido presents a new arrival set to carve out its own precise niche in the market: the new C66 Optimum Line. A completely new model, already offered in a well-equipped special version, which broadens the French manufacturer’s range in the narrow-width low-profile category, introducing a particularly sophisticated interior layout that is quite rare for this type of vehicle.

Measuring 699 cm in length, 217 cm in width and a compact 279 cm in height, the new Rapido C66 falls into that category of vehicles designed to guarantee agility on the road without compromising on living comfort. Its distinguishing feature lies in the layout: at the rear are the twin beds, positioned above a through-loading garage storage compartment—a solution always highly appreciated by the public for its ease of access and versatility—here combined with a split bathroom featuring independent, opposing spaces. On one side is the WC/washbasin compartment, and on the other, a fully self-contained shower cubicle.

But that’s not all—this configuration also brings the advantage of being able to separate the various zones of the interior using hinged or sliding doors. The living area, meanwhile, follows a face-to-face layout, with longitudinal sofas positioned opposite one another to encourage conviviality and comfort. Newly designed is the pentagonal-shaped kitchen unit, conceived to make the most of the available space.

The new Rapido C66 makes its debut in a special edition called Optimum Line, distinguished by a particularly comprehensive standard specification with a clear focus on on-board autonomy. Examples include the 150 Ah lithium battery and the 150 W solar panel, alongside a 149-litre compressor fridge, a solution that is increasingly widespread thanks to its efficiency and performance. Added to this are a diesel-fired heating system and a 2000 W inverter. The mechanical side is equally impressive: based on the Fiat Ducato with a 140 hp engine, already paired as standard with automatic transmission, while the multimedia station with connected reversing camera and electric parking brake also come as standard. The look of this low-profile motorhome is further enhanced by 16” alloy wheels and a driving cab finished in “Iron Grey”.
