On Saturday 10 May, the packed council chamber hosted, in the presence of local authorities, residents and a number of the over one hundred motorhome enthusiasts who travelled to Panni, the inaugural event for the town’s attractive new service area, along with the ceremony marking Panni’s official membership of the “Comune Amico del Turismo Itinerante” scheme, conceived and promoted by Unione Club Amici.
Mayor Amedeo De Cotiis, visibly moved, welcomed those present and offered particular thanks to everyone who had chosen to share in this joyful occasion.
Numerous mayors from the surrounding Daunia area were also in attendance, showing their support through both their presence and meaningful remarks on the initiative undertaken by the local council with this project.

The national President of Unione Club Amici, Ivan Perriera, amid applause from those present, recalled and highlighted the key features of the CATI project, presenting the mayor with the official UCA road sign.
Journalist Maurizio Varriano, who moderated the proceedings, read out the official certificate to those present before presenting it to the Mayor, formally confirming the town’s adherence to this important project.

The joyful procession, led by the band and the town banner, then moved from the Town Hall to the nearby service area, where, with a blessing from parish priest Domenico Guida, the mayor officially declared the site open with the ribbon-cutting, while the strains of the national anthem lent the ceremony an air of solemnity. The event closed amid applause, toasts and celebrations from all present.
