Morelo revamps the Palace range

The 2027 range from Morelo was unveiled at the Caravan Salon Düsseldorf 2026: pride of place went to the Palace motorhome, the result of a skilful redesign. For years one of the most popular models from the German manufacturer, the Palace has undergone an interior restyling, which now shows a more modern style and greater attention to the functionality of the various elements. We took an exclusive preview look at one of Morelo's flagships, the Palace 88 LB, a generously sized vehicle, with a length of 899 cm and a width of 245 cm, and a maximum authorised laden weight of 7,490 kg. In the base version it is built on the Iveco Daily 70C 18 chassis (with the option of increasing the weight and engine power) and is priced at 325,900 euros. On the outside, the prestigious image typical of Morelo vehicles is confirmed. At the rear, of course, a garage has been fitted, integrating the storage compartments created in the double floor. Inside, on the other hand, the Palace range has been completely reinterpreted: more modern, understated, welcoming and more focused on everyday life on board. We note a new design concept, with smooth surfaces, handleless overhead lockers, refined details and a skilful play of light.
An important element is the new control dashboard in the cab. It has not been conceived as an isolated driving area, but as a stylistic link between the cab and the living area, with a formal language that recalls the automotive world. The displays and controls have been brought closer to the driver's field of vision and reach, while ensuring easy access to the main functions even when the vehicle is stationary. Flowing lines, integrated displays, materials in more understated tones and accents of indirect light give the cab a less "technical" appearance, making it an integral part of the interior environment. In the living area, meanwhile, we can observe new upholstery, improved ergonomics and a multi-level lighting system.
The Morelo Palace 88 LB features a generous living area with an L-shaped sofa and a side sofa, all complemented by the swivel cab seats. The lighting is not simply a decorative element, but an integral part of the interior architecture: indirect, warm, divided into zones and adapted to the various situations of use. For the kitchen, a clean and welcoming aesthetic with a domestic feel has been chosen, with closed fronts, internal drawers, high-end taps and Bosch-Siemens appliances. In the bathroom we find refined finishes, a new shower tray and a rain-effect showerhead. In this case we see a walk-through bathroom, with a spacious shower cubicle. In the sleeping area of the Palace 88 LB we find two twin beds, joined for most of their length. The overhead lockers, very roomy, are on three sides of the bedroom. For the new Palace range, Morelo offers the option of removing the overhead lockers on the rear wall, to achieve an environment that is visually more developed lengthwise, brighter and less tied to traditional furnishing schemes. New materials and styles will offer customers greater scope to configure the vehicle. The high level of construction technique typical of Morelo is confirmed, as is that of the on-board systems.
