Lippert at the Caravan Salon 2026

A new generation of intelligent, modular and connected components

Published on 31/08/2026

With the new products presented at Caravan Salon 2026, Lippert takes a further step in its evolution from a components manufacturer to a supplier of integrated systems. From mechanics to electronics, from energy management to interior components, all the new solutions have been developed to communicate within a single technological architecture. An approach that offers manufacturers greater design freedom, reduces production complexity and lays the foundations for a new generation of increasingly intelligent, connected and sustainable recreational vehicles.

At Caravan Salon 2026, Lippert presents a new generation of products that reflects the evolutionary path undertaken by the Caravanning EMEA division: moving from the development of individual components to that of integrated solutions, in which mechanics, electronics and connectivity combine to create a single ecosystem for the recreational vehicle. This strategy stems from the observation of the most advanced sectors, in particular the automotive sector, where the integration between electronic systems and on-board components is now a central element in vehicle development. Building on a cross-cutting presence across numerous product categories, Lippert has therefore aligned its development teams around a common vision, with the aim of offering manufacturers increasingly connected, modular and interoperable solutions. In this context, Lippert Power Net represents the technological infrastructure on which many of the new products presented in Düsseldorf are developed. Based on CAN Bus architecture and the new CICS standard, the platform allows the various components to communicate with each other through a shared network, reducing wiring and weight, increasing design flexibility and creating the foundations for new digital features and services.
The main new products of Caravan Salon 2026 concretely interpret this philosophy: from the new Vela 3.0 for Fiat Ducato to the Nuvola and Manila Compact drop-down beds, developed according to a common modular concept, through to the autonomous Libero step, the new Stable Door and the Power On Board electronic range, which further expands the possibilities offered by the Lippert Power Net ecosystem.

Vela 3.0: all the Belvedere experience comes to the Fiat Ducato
Among the most significant new products is Vela 3.0, the new pop-up roof developed for the Fiat Ducato, which transfers all the design experience gained by Lippert with Belvedere, the pop-up roof dedicated to the Ford Transit, to the most widespread mechanical base in the European camper van market.
The new roof maintains the construction philosophy that characterises Belvedere, based on a structure with aluminium profiles and highly insulated sandwich panels. This solution makes it possible to obtain a lighter, stiffer and better insulated product compared to traditional fibreglass pop-ups, with a weight reduction of around 35 kilograms and benefits in terms of both comfort and vehicle dynamics.
Designed to offer a spacious and comfortable sleeping area, Vela 3.0 integrates a large panoramic opening and is compatible with the Vista window by Polyplastic by Lippert and with various tent configurations, including the new panoramic version presented at Caravan Salon.
The structure has also been designed to simplify installation in production and to guarantee high standards of robustness and durability over time.

Libero: the electric step becomes completely autonomous
Among the most original innovations presented by Lippert is Libero, the first electric step powered by a rechargeable battery via a solar panel integrated into the step or a charging cable, which completely eliminates the need for connections to the vehicle's electrical system and for drilling the floor. With a range of around 500 opening and closing cycles for each full charge, Libero makes it possible to use the step for an entire season with very little maintenance.
The absence of wiring also simplifies installation during production and makes it possible to fit it in the aftermarket without modifying the motorhome's electrical system. The project will also support future fastening solutions in the areas where the batteries of BEV vehicles will be located, offering manufacturers an innovative solution that reduces assembly times, installation complexity and integration costs.

R-Series V3: version 3.0 of one of Lippert's best-selling steps
The new version of the best-selling model makes its debut, keeping performance and dimensions unchanged while reducing the weight by almost 1.5 kg compared to the previous V2.
The result is the outcome of a revision of the kinematics and the motor, already homologated according to the ECE R10 regulation. V3 introduces patented solutions that will in future also be extended to the new versions of Lippert's tilting steps. The step is already ready for sale, available in silver and matte black variants.

Nuvola: the battery-powered bed system enters the Lippert Power Net ecosystem
After its debut last year, Lippert evolves Nuvola, its power system for the movement of electric drop-down beds, combining it with the range of "compact beds", designed to reduce dimensions and increase the design freedom of interior designers.
The new structure integrates a ladder that is completely contained in the compartment beneath the slats, improving ergonomics and accessibility without taking up space in the living area.
Nuvola also represents one of the first mechanical components designed to communicate directly with Lippert Power Net, becoming an integral part of the Lippert electronic ecosystem. Integration with the on-board network paves the way for advanced control, diagnostic and coordinated management functions with the vehicle's other systems.

Manila Compact: modularity becomes a design advantage
Alongside Nuvola, Manila Compact makes its debut, an evolution of the Lippert manual drop-down bed. As with the motorised beds of the "Compact" line, the new structure allows an average weight reduction of around 15%, while keeping robustness, reliability and construction simplicity unchanged.
The traditional Manila version nevertheless remains available in the catalogue. The real added value, however, is represented by the common platform developed with Nuvola. Both beds in fact share the same structural architecture and the same integration points, allowing manufacturers to develop a single furniture design and choose, depending on the vehicle's positioning, between the manual and electric solution without modifying the furniture or the internal structure.

A modularity that simplifies design, reduces industrial costs and offers greater flexibility in the composition of the range.

Stable Door: a new proposal for the caravan market
Lippert renews its offering in the segment of Stable Doors, the traditional doors particularly appreciated in the caravan world. Divided horizontally into two independent sections, the door makes it possible to open only the upper part, encouraging ventilation and natural lighting of the interior while the lower part remains closed.
A practical solution that makes it possible to maintain a physical barrier towards the outside, useful for preventing pets or small children from getting out and for improving comfort during stops.
The new Stable Door is also available with finishes coordinated with the vehicle's side wall, allowing manufacturers to integrate it harmoniously into the caravan's design and to expand the possibilities for aesthetic personalisation.

Piuma: integrated design, lightness and ease of installation
Piuma is the fully integrated window system from Polyplastic by Lippert, designed to combine contemporary style, lightness and installation efficiency. The system comprises a polymer material frame, a double-pane cast acrylic window, an integrated blackout system, the interior finish and built-in fastening clamps, offering a complete solution characterised by a particularly flush and minimalist appearance.
Thanks to the integrated mounting system, installation is simple and quick, while the automatic aluminium arms make it possible to open and lock the window in any position. The dedicated closing devices, equipped with a night ventilation function, further improve on-board comfort while at the same time guaranteeing effective protection.
Piuma is part of the wide range of Polyplastic windows, developed to meet the multiple design requirements of vehicles through three main product categories: hinged window systems, window systems with aluminium frame and window systems with polymer material frame. These are complemented by special solutions designed to meet specific OEM requirements.

Power On Board: a complete ecosystem for the management of energy and on-board services
As proof that Lippert Power Net is not only a communication platform, but an infrastructure already supported by a wide range of products, Lippert once again presents at Caravan Salon its complete offering of electronic systems dedicated to the management of energy and on-board services. The range includes: DC-DC boosters, which optimise battery charging while driving, even on Euro 6 vehicles with intelligent alternators; high-efficiency battery chargers compatible with lead, AGM and lithium batteries; electronic control units (Electroblock), the heart of the electrical system, which manage energy distribution, protect circuits, control battery charging and coordinate the power supply of all on-board utilities.
The offering also includes: intelligent power supply units, capable of automatically managing all available power sources, optimising energy distribution and battery charging without requiring any intervention by the user; solar regulators capable of optimising the output of the solar panels and of simultaneously charging the leisure battery and the engine battery; electronic systems for lighting control, capable of managing switching on, dimming and lighting scenarios; control panels and displays, available both in traditional version and with a 7-inch touchscreen, which make it possible to control batteries, tanks, water pump, air conditioning, lighting and numerous other vehicle devices from a single point.

Welcome www.lipperteurope.com
On the occasion of Caravan Salon, Lippert Europe officially launched its new web platform, www.lipperteurope.com. The project represents the evolution of the previous lippertcomponents.eu site into a digital hub conceived to better reflect the company's identity and its long-term strategy for the European market. The new platform features a completely redesigned interface characterised by a modern visual language, which includes videos, dynamic animations and a navigation system inspired by the "liquid glass" concept, designed to make the browsing experience more intuitive and engaging.

"We wanted a platform that truly represented the direction taken by Lippert Europe", says Francesca Tompetrini, Marketing Manager Caravanning EMEA. "The new site presents a completely renewed appearance and graphic layout, with videos, dynamic animations and a menu with a "liquid glass" design, which makes navigation fluid and modern.
