In addition to the reddot Design Award, the Truma Mover® XT has also collected a further prize: the German Design Award Special Mention 2015. This internationally renowned prize acknowledges special product design quality and is bestowed by the German Design Council  (Rat für Formgebung). This organisation was set up in 1953 at the initiative of the German government with the objective of highlighting the importance of product design as a factor of success for the economy.

A jury of 30 professionals assesses criteria, such as ergonomics, functionality, level of innovation, durability, branding, product aesthetics, safety and technical quality. "High-quality design when purchasing a product that is visible on the vehicle is an important aspect. This is the reason why we pay close attention to developing products that are not only technically sound, but also appealing to the eye. We are very pleased about this award," says Mathias Venschott, head of Mover® development at Truma.
The Truma Mover® XT is the first manoeuvring system to use highly-efficient brushless motors that cut the overall weight of the device and battery by up to 20 kg. The system also manoeuvres caravans absolutely precisely, in a soft, jolt-free manner – even keeping it on track when there are one-sided obstacles. An intuitive operating concept and the high-quality design round off the package.
