German craftsmanship: the new Hymermobil ML-I on Mercedes-Benz Sprinter

Europe’s leading motorhome and caravan manufacturer Hymer is seeking to win the hearts of British motorhome enthusiasts with the introduction of the new Mercedes-Sprinter based Hymermobil ML-I. The new model is guaranteed to fascinate with premium-quality high-tech, and represents an exemplary marriage of state-of-the-art automotive and drive technology from Mercedes-Benz with Hymer’s patented PUAL lightweight design.

The new Hymermobil ML-I is a classically stylish, highly compact and manoeuvrable integrated motorhome mounted on a Mercedes-Benz chassis and based on the lightweight design principle of the semi-integrated Hymer ML-T. "With the Hymer ML-I, we have achieved the balancing act of producing a fully integrated, rear-wheel drive Mercedes-Sprinter based motorhome in the 3.5 ton class", explains Bernhard Kibler, head of the Hymer Motorhomes division. The high quality standard to which both partners, Hymer and Mercedes-Benz, have always subscribed, is reflected in all aspects of the elegant Hymermobil ML-I. The new model is available with three engine variants, from the economical 95 KW (127 hp) or 120 KW (161 hp) 4-cylinder version to the agile 141 KW (189 hp) V6-cylinder version. All three versions come with comfort safety suspension as standard which, in combination with the optionally available 7G-Tronic Plus automatic transmission, makes for safe and relaxed driving. Additional anti-roll bars on the rear axle ensure even greater safety and enhanced travelling comfort. The standard safety equipment is of a similar premium quality,  and includes driver and passenger airbags, ABS, TCS and adaptive ESP, among other features. The excellent insulation qualities of Hymer’s patented PUAL design together with the rear-wheel drive make the Hymermobil ML-I especially winterproof and ideal for year-round use. And it’s not just the technical equipment that caters to every need: the new Hymermobil ML-I also boasts a thoughtfully designed interior where comfort and functionality go hand in hand in every respect. The living area is level throughout, from the cab to the rear. Multi-zone cold foam mattresses and the high-quality mattress topper guarantee a good night’s sleep. The 142-litre capacity Smart-Tower refrigerator is available as standard. 

The Hymermobil ML-I represents a further milestone in the long-standing partnership between Hymer and Mercedes-Benz. The vehicle will go on show for the first time at authorised Hymer dealerships in the UK and Ireland from the end of March, and at the National Motorhome Show in Peterborough from 17 to 19 April.
