At the recently ended
CMT trade fair in Stuttgart Knaus Tabbert GmbH, a leading manufacturer of caravans and motorhomes in Europe, with about 100 vehicles for the first time presented its extensive model portfolio in a hall of its own. On about 3,800 square metres numerous new models for the coming season were waiting for trade visitors, including the new caravan flagship
Knaus Eurostar that is based on the spectacular Caravisio study, and the Travelino light-weight construction study. Compared to the positive result of last year sales figures again could be clearly increased by about 10 percent. The company's decision to withdraw from the established caravaning hall 1 with its core brands Knaus, Tabbert, Weinsberg and T@B, and to realise its own highly successful trade fair presentation in hall C2, significantly and positively supported this increase of sales figures.
Self-Confident Presentation for New Impulses
"As one of the market leaders on the European caravaning market, and as no. 1 in Germany, Europe's most important motorhome market, we think it is our responsibility to give new impulses to the industry with a self-confident presentation at the CMT trade fair, and also to create an adequate and representative presentation for our core brands", says Wolfgang Speck, chairman of the
Knaus Tabbert GmbH management, explaining the decision for an own hall. "Our claim is to further extend our top position as a technology and innovation leader. In the next years Caravisio and Travelino will be turned into trend-setting products for which we with a hall of our own want to provide the best possible platform so that as many caravaning fans as possible can enjoy these models and find interesting information."
Two-Digit Increase in Motorhome and Caravan Sales
And the concept seems to be successful: The record result of 2014 again could be clearly increased. After nine trade fair days Gerd Adamietzki, managing director of Knaus Tabbert GmbH, correspondingly draws a positive conclusion: "We are highly satisfied with this year's CMT trade fair. Our objective was to return home with a positive result from Stuttgart, and to thus establish the basis for a good start into the new season. We have one hundred percent reached this objective. We are pleased that especially our new vehicles with the special models
Knaus VanSation TI and VanSation i, and the new KNAUS BoxLife camper van, enjoyed great popularity. Motorhome sales correspondingly increased by 12 percent compared to the previous year. And it is all the more pleasing that in the last months the demand for caravans has been constantly increasing. Compared to 2014 the CMT result even showed a plus of 18 percent. So on the whole this was a successful start into the new year on which we can build on. And we again have great plans for 2015."
