The journey never ends: on tour with the Mobilvetta Kea I 86

Published on 02/10/2026

The journey never truly ends. Because even when the destination is home, the road can still offer up encounters, landscapes and places capable of surprising us. We set off from Normandy aboard the Mobilvetta Kea I 86 with more than a thousand kilometres ahead of us, and decide to turn a simple return trip into a genuine road trip. From the spectacular cliffs of the Normandy coast to the port of Honfleur, from the small villages of Normandy such as Le Bec-Hellouin to the nature embracing the Rocher de Dabo, we cross Alsace among vineyards and villages and then the Rhine, the border with Germany, entering the heart of the Black Forest as far as the splendid Schiltach. An itinerary made of back roads, quick stops, small villages, landscapes, photographs and encounters with that part of Europe we often risk missing when we think only of arriving. Because travelling by motorhome means this too: letting yourself be guided by curiosity and discovering that, sometimes, the most beautiful stops are precisely the ones we hadn't planned. A return journey through France and Germany, in search of authentic places and postcard-worthy views. To remind us that, when we travel, the road to reach our destination is never just one.
