The end of 2015 is drawing near. Yet again, it has been a year full of innovation and developments for VB-Airsuspension , manufacturer of (air) suspension systems. For the motorhome branch, this means that there are new air suspension kits produced where motorhome users can benefit from. Highlights include the Ford V363, Volkswagen T6 and Mercedes-Benz Vito/V-Class and Sprinter as they are increasingly used as motorhome chassis. 2015 was an important year regarding various new air suspension kits. For Mercedes-Benz, VB-Airsuspension launched second-generation air suspension for the current Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and complete rear axle air suspension for the new Vito and V-Class . “For the Sprinter, the shock absorbers and compressor box are modified and the new set comes standard with an air tank, which allows the vehicle to raise or lower faster, says Julién van Cleemput, Area Manager Italy VB-Airsuspension . In spring 2015, Volkswagen has also introduced its new Transporter (T6). VB-Airsuspension responded to this development and developed for this type of vehicle a new air suspension which is recently available. Also noteworthy is the air suspension for the Ford Transit V363 models, because this chassis will be more and more used as motorhome chassis. The following systems are available for the Ford Transit V363: Auxiliary suspension for front wheel drive, rear wheel drive and rear wheel drive with twinned wheels. These suspension systems are available as a basic or a comfort kit (with compressor and control panel). The full air suspension on the rear axle of the Ford Transit is in development and will be available soon. Air suspension gives a lot of advantages for motorhome users. An air suspension system provides, among other things, a constant ride height, increased comfort, optimum driveability, increased stability, reduced wear of tyres/brakes and lower CO2 emissions. “We will keep developing our products and are eager to develop air suspension kits for new vehicles.
