The new TBCM PRO 45/30/350 (which replaces TBC3i PRO 30/20/250) is designed to charge on-board RV service batteries by selecting the best power source in a completely automatic way between the AC grid, the power generator, the vehicle alternator and photovoltaic modules. Compared to the earlier version, RV service battery charging performance has been improved: the peak charge current from the alternator through the converter/booster has increased from 30 to as much as 45 A; the peak charging current when connected to the AC grid has increased from 20 to 30 A; the peak capacity of the photovoltaic modules managed by the MPPT regulator has increased from 250 to 350 W. The new TELECO TBCM PRO 45/30/350 has a brand new design that also includes an integrated OLED display and a control console located directly on the unit. It is also possible to install an external control panel with OLED display, completely redesigned and with the same "family feeling" as the automatic antenna control panels. "We are also proposing this product to RV manufacturers as original equipment, and we are certain that it will be extremely successful as an aftermarket option", says Vittorio Simioli, co-founder of Teleco Group, "It is an outstandingly complete and very versatile charger. The new charger is also compatible with CI-BUS, a data transmission system developed on a shared platform by the European caravanning industry, and with Teleco HUB. This updated version includes many innovative features. For example, the Bridge feature, useful if the engine battery runs flat and it is not possible to charge it off conventional sources. An (optional) external relay allows users to draw current in a controlled manner from the service battery and feed it back into the engine battery. After a few minutes, the engine can be restarted. Another asset is the possibility of operating the air conditioner when the vehicle is in motion. The TELECO/TELAIR air conditioners can be operated while driving using energy from the batteries, but TBCM PRO 45/30/350 enters power saving mode when 45 A absorption is exceeded. An (optional) special relay directly connects the air conditioner to the vehicle's alternator and allows the current to flow directly into the air conditioning system, powering it while the RV is in motion. “We have thought of many applications for our multi charger”, continues Vittorio Simioli. "First of all, the user does not have to worry about anything, because the charger automatically chooses the ideal charging source. In the event of a low battery, it can also automatically start one of our generators from the TIG range. Secondly, when charging takes place via photovoltaic modules and if there is plenty of power available, our multi charger can control the trivalent refrigerator with AES (automatic energy selector) and can automatically switch from gas-powered operation to 12 Volt operation. Il nuovo TBCM PRO 45/30/350 (che sostituisce TBC3i PRO 30/20/250) è in grado di ricaricare le batterie di servizio a bordo del camper scegliendo in modo completamente automatico la miglior fonte tra la rete AC, il generatore di corrente, l’alternatore del veicolo e i moduli fotovoltaici. Rispetto alla versione precedente aumentano le perfomance per la ricarica della batteria di servizio: la corrente massima di carica dall’alternatore tramite il convertitore/booster passa da 30 a ben 45 A; la corrente massima di carica quando collegato alla rete AC passa da 20 a 30 A; la capacità massima dei moduli fotovoltaici gestiti dal regolatore MPPT passa da 250 a 350 W. Il nuovo TELECO TBCM PRO 45/30/350 si presenta con un’estetica completamente rinnovata che include anche un display OLED integrato e una serie di comandi direttamente sull’unità. Il nuovo caricabatterie è anche compatibile con CI-BUS, un sistema di trasmissione dati sviluppato su una piattaforma comune dall’industria del caravanning europea, e con Teleco HUB. Ma sono diverse le funzioni innovative proposte in questa versione aggiornata. Per esempio, la funzione Bridge, utile se la batteria motore dovesse scaricarsi e non ci fosse la possibilità di ricaricarla con fonti convenzionali. Un relé esterno (optional) permette di prelevare corrente in maniera controllata dalla batteria di servizio e riversarla in quella motore. Dopo alcuni minuti sarà possibile rimettere in moto il motore. Rilevante anche la funzione per far funzionare il condizionatore quando il veicolo è in marcia. I condizionatori TELECO/TELAIR possono funzionare anche durante la marcia prelevando l’energia dalle batterie, ma TBCM PRO 45/30/350 entra in protezione al superamento dei 45 A di assorbimento. Un apposito relé (optional) mette in relazione diretta il condizionatore con l’alternatore del veicolo e permette alla corrente di transitare direttamente per alimentare il sistema di climatizzazione durante la marcia. “Abbiamo pensato a moltissime applicazioni del nostro multi charger”, continua Vittorio Simioli. ”Intanto, l’utente non deve preoccuparsi di nulla, perché il caricabatterie sceglie in automatico la fonte di ricarica ideale. In caso di batteria scarica, può anche avviare in automatico uno dei nostri generatori della gamma TIG. Oppure quando la ricarica avviene tramite moduli fotovoltaici e se c’è energia in abbondanza, il nostro multi charger può controllare il frigorifero trivalente con AES (selettore automatico di energia) e può commutare automaticamente dal funzionamento a gas al funzionamento a 12 Volt. Inoltre, il nostro convertitore di carica con booster garantisce sempre la ricarica completa, sia su brevi distanze che, naturalmente, su lunghi percorsi. E ottimizza la ricarica con i motori diesel Euro 6 dove l’alternatore non lavora più a tensioni costanti, ma ha dei picchi e dei momenti in cui eroga poca tensione. Il nostro DC/DC converter stabilizza la tensione”. TBCM PRO 45/30/350 è dotato di un sistema integrato per mantenere in carica le batterie anche durante i lunghi periodi di rimessaggio e prevede 8 differenti curve di ricarica per batterie piombo-acido, AGM, GEL e batterie LiFePO4.
