First place in “Heating Systems” thanks to the votes of readers of the German magazines promobil and Caravaning, and victory in the “Technology” category at the European Innovation Award 2026. In both cases, the company also came second in two further categories
At CMT Stuttgart,
Truma once again confirmed itself as a benchmark in the caravanning sector, both for user satisfaction and for its capacity to innovate.
At the European Innovation Award 2026, which has been championing technological development in the European caravanning industry for almost twenty years, Truma took first place in the Technology category with the new CombiNeo, a 2-in-1 heating system that delivers continuous hot water just three minutes after switching on.
The jury, made up of editors from twelve leading caravanning magazines across ten different European countries, assessed 184 entries across 20 categories. In addition to winning the Technology category, Truma came second in the Marketing/PR Campaign category with its “Cold outside. Truma inside.” campaign, and second in the Overall Concept Equipment category with the second-generation Aventa roof-mounted air conditioner.
“We are extremely proud of these awards,” explains Dr Joachim Weckwerth, Managing Director Product & Technology. “They show that we don’t just develop innovative products, but that we truly understand our customers’ needs and actively help shape the future of caravanning. For us, innovation means bringing together technology, comfort and communication at the highest level, and that is exactly what we have achieved with our projects”.
And after the recognition of a qualified jury of international journalists comes that of motorhome and caravan owners themselves, readers of the specialist German magazines promobil and Caravaning. Here, Truma achieved first place in the “Heating” category, alongside a second place in the “Air Conditioners” category, a second place in the “Manoeuvring Systems” category and second place in the “Portable Refrigerators” category. This is a verdict that comes directly from those who use the products every day and, for Truma, represents a tangible indicator of trust and quality.
“
We are proud of these accolades, because they clearly demonstrate just how much our customers value Truma’s work,” Dr Joachim Weckwerth continues. “
The readers’ survey holds special value for us, as it directly reflects the opinion of our users: it is authentic feedback that comes from everyday practice”.
One statistic in particular clearly highlights this continuity: Truma has taken first place in the “Heating” category every year since 2018, nine years running, confirming its leadership position and the strength of its relationship with the community.
With these results,
Truma reaffirms its ambition: to transform the onboard experience through reliable solutions that are celebrated by users and recognised for their technological value by independent experts.
