A dinosaur arrives at Camping Al Sole

Eco-friendly, pet friendly, complete with a wellness centre and a heated swimming pool… what else could Camping Al Sole on Lake Ledro possibly need? A dinosaur, perhaps? No problem, that’s arrived too! He stands 7 metres tall, his name is Dino, and he’s the centrepiece of the new playground that will be officially opened on Saturday 4 April. The new facility is built using natural materials and, in part, recycled materials, in keeping with the “green” philosophy that has always guided the management of the campsite — think of the solar panels for hot water production and the photovoltaic modules for generating electricity, as well as the use of eco-sustainable materials and systems designed to reduce water and energy waste… Camping Al Sole, which overlooks Lake Ledro directly, in Trentino, in the village of Molina di Ledro (TN), opened its doors this year on 27 March and will close the season on 2 November. Guests can enjoy a lakeside beach, but there’s also a large heated swimming pool, with slides for both adults and children. There is also a wellness centre featuring a Finnish sauna, Turkish bath, frigidarium, sensory showers and a heated outdoor hot tub. The campsite offers a small park where dogs can run free, as well as a stretch of beach where four-legged friends can take a dip in the water without disturbing other guests. So, mark your calendars for Saturday 4 April at 2.00pm, for the official opening of the playground with Dino the dinosaur, followed at 4.00pm by a magic show for the little ones. To reach Camping Al Sole: take the Rovereto Sud exit off the A22 Brenner motorway, then follow the SS 240 towards Riva del Garda and the signs for Lake Ledro until you reach Molina di Ledro.
