Located on the outskirts of the town, this camper area features automatic entry and exit, 100 pitches on grass and asphalt, partially shaded. Facilities include: paid electricity, a toilet, including one for disabled guests, and hot showers, a covered area with sinks for dishes and laundry, water loading, and wastewater and sewage disposal. Parking for a maximum period of 48 hours. Bus stop 1 km away (tickets at the park bar) and a few metres away there is a shuttle service to the historic centre by sea.
Campervans consider this an excellent solution for visiting Venice, appreciating its strategic location, helpful staff, and comprehensive amenities. However, some users complain about the unmarked pitches that become muddy in the rain, the spartan bathrooms, and high electricity rates. Generated by AI from the text of user reviews
Excellent camper area in Mestre, from which you can reach Venice in about 25 minutes by ferry, just a few minutes from the area. Free, untimed hot showers. Excellent solution for visiting Venice: fenced with barrier at the entrance and 24-hour concierge, loading, unloading, showers, toilets, waste bins... Venice 5 minutes by bus or 10 by private ferry. Great experience.
I confirm what Ele798 wrote and in the description of the page. For convenience I would recommend bikes to reach the bus and tram stop, which is not really close but can also be done on foot. It will be 15 minutes of walking. The 25 euro tourist ticket for 24 hours, valid on all trams and vaporettos, is very convenient. This can also be purchased here at the reception in the rest area. In this period there is a full house for the carnival, evidently. Best to book in advance to be safe. Today I saw campers being turned away because everything is really full.
We found several campers and information availability of the managers both on site and previously via cell. Always manned 24 hours a day and accessible by taking a token that opens the bar for parking. 18 euros + 4 euros for electricity. At 100 meters private ferry 10 euros return to Venice Fondamenta Nova. Parking is 24 hours a day, so if you exceed the entry time after 24 hours, another day will start to pay. Be careful to study the transits of the ferries carefully, for example for Murano and/or Burano, in order to avoid overpaying considering the high prices for traveling by sea. Acceptable toilets, loading drinking water and unloading waste water at all times.
Large and strategic camper area for visiting Venice at affordable prices. At about 1 kilometer there are tram and bus stops for Venice. Only one stop away from Piazzale Roma. The season ticket for urban transport is also useful, also sold on the campsite. It also includes the use of the water buses for 24 hours. Little shade, but used the air conditioner (electricity separately at 4 euros per day). For dog owners and lovers of greenery, the adjacent and well-kept San Giuliano Park is excellent. In AS free hot showers and comfortable Loading of drinking water and waste water discharge. 18 euros every 24 hours. Highly recommended.
Convenient for visiting Venice, just outside the campsite there is a pier from where the boat leaves every hour, at a cost of € 10 round trip per person. At the entrance there is a column that releases a token, € 18 / 24h plus € 4 electricity. Presence of automatic snack machines, but an area without bars, tobacconists, restaurants, etc.
Convenient location for visiting Venice. Undefined and fairly level plots, with the possibility of connecting electricity, on grassy ground. A single rate of 18 € per day per camper, including crew, and 4 € for electricity is applied, considering everything is not bad.Negative note in my opinion is the possibility of splitting the hours after the first 24 hours, and 4 € for the electricity seems excessive to me.
Excellent solution for visiting Venice. I would say somewhere between AS and camping. 24-hour reception with bus ticket sales and information. Complete service block with coin-operated laundry. Possibility to use the tram at 1 km. about or the boat at 100 meters (10 € AR). Price € 18 every 24h. + 4 € light. Negative note: there are no boundaries for parking and, in case of crowding, there could be problems with distancing.
We have just been there, I confirm the cost of 18 euros plus 4 for the electricity. A rather large structure, a little dated but clean, well maintained and quiet. Valid the services body, flat pitches both shaded and in the sun, to increase the number of columns. Friendly and helpful staff. In my opinion the best solution to visit Venice, as on foot in less than 10 minutes you can reach the tram stop, which with very frequent runs takes you to Piazzale Roma in 6 minutes. Optimal location / quality / price ratio.
We were there at the beginning of September and paid € 18 plus 4 for electricity. Area on the edge of a large park, quiet at night, equipped with bathrooms with free hot showers. The bus stop for Venice can be reached on foot through the park (approx. 15 minutes). Ponte della Libertà, on the lagoon, has a cycle path which unfortunately is not yet connected to the camper parking area. Reservations are highly recommended in high season and on weekends as the area fills up quickly and you risk being out. We recommend it.
Functional and nice.A little dusty area in the streets, but all in all positive opinion.Taxes on arrival and departure times.About 30 euros per day.Pullman and tram at 2 km, but well served. With ticket valid 24h at 20 euros turn everywhere. I would stay there again.
I booked a pitch on Wednesday for Saturday and received confirmation by email from the manager. Upon arrival they tell me that there is no room and that was all, after showing them the reservation they stuffed me into an asphalted space behind the reception near the exit, with a hustle and bustle of people stuck to the camper 24 hours a day.
Very large parking, very convenient for visiting Venice: shuttle service (train / bus) about 1 km away and private vaporetto at the exit of the car park at a cost of € 10 round trip. Staff very helpful. Cost € 15 / 24h excluding electricity and services.
Excellent location very close to Venice ferry (10 euros return). There are all the services but the 15 euros per night includes the loading of drinking water and waste water discharge. Bathrooms and electricity for an extra fee.
Excellent for visiting Venice, all services, excellent boat right outside the area, shame there are no bars nearby in winter I don't know in summer, excellent price for being close to a fantastic place, I recommend it.
The lady at the reception is very kind and provides comprehensive explanations. I confirm the previous comments, the soil becomes muddy on rainy days. To get to the tram that takes you to Venice there is a decent walk. However, considering that we are in Venice, I would say good.
Convenient stop to visit Venice: at 100m embarkation of a private ferry that with 12 euros per day (free children) leads to both Murano and Venice. The only flaw is the bottom that with rain prevents you from reaching showers (free hot) and bathrooms. Paid € 18 + 4 of electricity per night. Overall recommended.
About 10 minutes on foot to reach the bus stop to add Piazzale Roma from which to take other buses or boats to go to Venice. The area is wide with part in asphalt and part in grass but there are many parts almost inaccessible due to the mud caused by the rain, including the bathrooms. We have parked on asphalt. The green park area of the neighboring San Giuliano is very beautiful. Silent area. Overall we had a good time but having an 8 year old if it rained to go to the bus stop I wouldn't have known how to do it.
Great location for visiting Venice, all services ok, electricity unfortunately not for all campers, friendly and helpful staff, video surveillance parking. To reach Venice, if you are on foot, you have to walk about 1 km through the park and you reaches the bus stop, with which in 5 min you arrive in piazzale Roma. The only problem is the dirt road: if it rains it fills up with mud. I personally recommend it.
Beautiful location in the large park of Mestre. But a little peripheral and with nothing. Too bad you can't reach Venice by water, but you have to walk a couple of miles to get to the tram stop.
Strategic place to visit Venice, services ok, electricity stations are not enough for all campers and if it rains the pitch becomes muddy. Overall I recommend it.
We spent 3 nights here in October and enjoyed it. Great location, one tram stop from Venice (1.4 km walk to the park to reach the stop). Clean bathrooms and hot showers. Negative notes: few columns 220 and bottom that becomes muddy with the rain. Very friendly staff. I recommend it.
The negative aspects reported by other users are substantially true, but we were fine. Appreciated the night watchman and the friendliness of the managers. However with € 18 you can visit Venice.
This area hosted us in July during our first gourmet grand tour. Area fairly difficult to reach. Friendly staff, helpful but extremely long-winded, abundant with words, "a loose bridle". It requires tricks to interrupt the gab as, for example, look elsewhere. Many pitches but not very shaded and some very far from the (few) electric columns: nice problem. Clean bathrooms every other day, without toilet paper and mosquito nets, then invaded by thousands of mosquitoes. Room for washing dishes and clothes. It takes at least half an hour to reach Piazzale Roma in Venice spending at least 3 euros on the bus, however frequent. Cross a park to reach the bus, 1.4 km of park with people running. Light years away from the beloved Sparafucile of Mantua. Bang!
Excellent for visiting Venice, newly renovated facilities, hot showers included in the price. The defect lies in the grassy ground which in the case of rainy periods becomes a quagmire especially near the camper service where the columns for electricity are also concentrated (separate cost)
