In the upper Valsavarenche valley, the dirt parking lot in front of the Gran Paradiso hotel is free and open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. Afterwards, the park ranger invites you to spend the night at the nearby campsite or in Dégioz (the main town), where there is a dedicated municipal camper parking area (subject to charges).
