Even if it were, the parked cars wouldn't have allowed for easy service. No phone number to call, just a cold machine that says "Service unavailable"! It recently passed into the hands of a private owner (Angelo), who is revitalizing it and giving it new life. It had been abandoned by the municipality. It's asphalt, slightly uphill, with water, electricity, drainage, and bathrooms, a 15-20 minute walk from the town center (very nice). Very close by are a pharmacy, a pasta shop with excellent tortelli and pasta, a small supermarket with an adjoining dairy where you can find mozzarella and various other delicious fresh delicacies, an artisanal bakery, a delicatessen, a rotisserie, and a little further away, a San Egidio butcher\/grill where Mr. Angelo serves fabulous meats and sausages.\nIt costs \u20ac10 per night. The area, since August 2024, has been fenced off and access is permitted only to campers. Paid parking: \u20ac10 for 24 hours or \u20ac1 hourly rate; electricity is 0.50 cents\/hour, loading\/unloading \u20ac5. 100 meters away is a square where there is a fruit market on Thursdays and clothing and other items on Sundays. The area is very well-served, with shops that also provide take-out food. The area is very quiet. In my opinion, the excessive cost of electricity drives away many campers. In fact, I've seen several free parking lots, and it's a shame because given the low traffic, there's a risk it will be closed. I suspect that whoever created this rest area (and I should be grateful for that) was only thinking about campers passing through by the hour. I stayed there for two days and ended up paying \u20ac44, which is quite a lot!
