What motorhome travellers say

Campers consider the area well-located, with spacious pitches and electrical hookups, but complain about overly rigid management with numerous restrictions. Some users report dated and dirty restrooms, mostly cold showers, and nighttime noise from the railway and surrounding areas. Users appreciate the proximity to beaches and restaurants, although parking costs are reasonable.

We stopped there for one night in transit. The pitches were fairly spacious and flat, with electricity hookups, free cold showers and a single hot one with a €1 token. On Friday, April 26, 2024, we had an issue (our camper was stuck in the railway underpass) in Marotta. We contacted the Il Picchio rest area to let them know we were approaching the end of their access time. The next morning, they directed us to the Sena Camper camper service center, notifying them of our arrival. We would like to publicly thank them for their courtesy and helpfulness. Contrary to what is prominently indicated on the homepage of the Club website, the parking area IS CLOSED (27/10/2022). It would be the case that the club kept the site up to date!
