About 1 km after the centre of Valbruna, past the Austro-Hungarian Military Cemetery, at the beginning of the Saisera Valley, there is a mixed car parking area in a dirt area with approximately 12 paid camper spaces without services. Another car park (no. 6) allows parking only.
Closed as a rest area but, as luzmic writes, you can park close to the woods. Or at least it was possible (and tolerated) in these days at the turn of August. Too bad the unavailability of services, given that the "closest" structure (Fusine rest area) at least to do Drinking water loading and waste water discharge is several km away. Usual lack of foresight of local administrators who probably consider us beggars.
It would be a nice rest area, but since 2015 all the parking is closed by municipal ordinance. The toilets are closed, the water is closed, the drainage shafts (still existing) are unreachable because access is barred. Only an unpaved area next to the car park remains accessible, with enough space for a dozen campers, where overnight accommodation (even with wedges, tables, etc.) is tolerated (even if camping is prohibited throughout the municipal area). The bar is open from 9:00 to 18:00.
Sedegliano is near Codroipo, Valbruna near Tarvisio.
