It is a farmhouse that offers all the services, even if a little spartan. However, all this is repaid by the splendid position that allows you to see Matera from a spectacular perspective. Added to this is the hospitality of the manager who recommended a guided tour with the legendary Francesco and a visit to the hypogeum located under the farm.

I confirm all that has been said in the previous comments. At dusk, I recommend going to the Belvedere which is 2 km away and waiting for the sun to fall behind the city of Matera. The show is unique.

Immersed in a park, part of the area is shaded by broad-leaved trees. The only urbanization works are the buildings of the ancient farmhouse, one of which was recovered for the bathrooms (clean and tidy). Very kind and helpful manager. There have also been 2 guided tours of 2.5 hours, one in the stones and one in the Parco delle Chiese Rupestri. Cost of parking € 12 + 1 for the shower. Shuttle to Matera departing at 9:00 am and returning at 3:00 pm for € 3 / person. Definitely recommended

We chose this area compared to the others closer to the city center because the possibility of being in the middle of the Murgia Materana Park, surrounded by the beauty of nature, its silence and its scents, for us is definitely not priced! In the manager Paolo we found courtesy, information and passion for this land. The area is essential but authentic, full of history and nature. We have been kidnapped from Matera, from its history and, for us couple of climbers, from the beautiful climbing cliff placed directly in Gravina. Thanks to all these ingredients, seasoned with Paolo's discretion, the one-night stop was transformed into a long stay of four days. I absolutely recommend it.

Located at the Park Visitor Center, with the possibility of being taken to the city. Very quiet place, ideal to visit also the rock churches on the opposite side of the ravine, it allows to spend even a few days immersed in the scents of the countryside, where aromatic spontaneous plants grow.

We were there from 10 to 12 of September 2017 and we had a great time. Not all spaces for campers are flat, but I prefer to stay a little on a slope than in a paved area. Good starting point for excursions in the surrounding hills. Even Matera can be reached on foot, we have used the shuttle bus included in the price. If you like quiet and immersed in nature, it is the ideal area

Essential but functional camper area, in a magical place ... We wanted to stay one day and stayed 3 nights. Do not miss the guided tour with Mario at the rock churches: very engaging for both adults and children. Paolo, manager of the center, friendly, attentive and helpful. Shuttle service to and from the center. Last return at 10.30pm. Possibility to have lunch with typical dishes and sale of local products. On Tuesdays there is an open air cinema, which unfortunately we lost ... We'll have to come back ...

Great place for those who love a camper holiday as a moment of tranquility and in contact with nature. Loading of drinking water and convenient wastewater discharge with drinking water, essential baths, but with drinking water and wastewater discharge free it is no problem to take a shower in a camper. Current available and bar service within the "Jazzo Gattini" visitor center 5 minutes away on foot. The guide to the rocky churches of the Murgia is well organized, allowing you to understand the history of the city. Don't go to visit the city without first having followed the tour with Mario. Connection with Matera with shuttle service.
