Description

The site's parking lot, equipped with restrooms and picnic tables, has barriers, but it's possible to park in the small adjacent space reserved for buses (maximum 2). It's located in open countryside; the narrow road makes parking on the edges of the site inadvisable. There are no other alternatives.

Nearby

The ruins of the convent with their Round Tower, the remains of the buildings, and the large Celtic crosses, among the best preserved in Ireland. Although abandoned, the site continued to be used as a cemetery for centuries, and to visit it, you walk among the tombs.

There was no one to turn to for instructions on where to park, perhaps because it was already 5.30 pm, or perhaps because the site is not manned. The area for the coaches still had a bar, raised at that time, which suggests the presence of a person in charge who could also close it
