The Rhine Valley landscape is generally beautiful, but the villages aren't particularly attractive to visit. From the outside, they look stunning, but once you've parked and explored the historic centers, they're disappointing: hotels and other businesses are closed. Beware: there are no bridges over the Rhine; you'll have to cross them by barge (\u20ac15 each way with a campervan!)
