The fishing village of Koguva dates back to the 16th century and, thanks to the protection of a nobleman, it is said to have survived the centuries of war unscathed. The current traditional wooden houses, with thatched roofs, date back to the 19th century, and some are still inhabited by the original families, although they are obviously no longer fishermen.
